Torcello Editions, based in New York, is pleased to announce the 2018 release of three books by Timothy Noel Harris with photos and design work by Tara Key.
From the author:
“My three new releases on Torcello Editions are tangentially related to one another via connections to Venice, Italy, a city which has caught my imagination and the camera eye of my collaborator, over the last 20 years. Iconoclysms is part art history, part memoir, beginning on a trip to Venice, then moving to Rome and Barcelona, and includes 200 color photos by Tara.
"The KitKat Chronicles: Kit Maxwell, Curatore di Mondo begins in Venice with a story about a 9-year-old girl on vacation with her family, and then moves abroad. Quizzical Venice gives you, the reader, a test about Venice.
"One is for adults, one for some kids, and one for travelers, on the road, or the canal as it may be, or in the armchair. More details are below. We hope you will enjoy them."
—Timothy Noel Harris
All three books are available from Torcello Editions and on Amazon. Due to the high cost of color reproductions, Iconoclysms can be bought at a discount at the Torcello Editions Store. Also available are the first two Torcello releases, Blue Streak and Arrows by June Key.
Iconoclysms: Shattered in Venice, Rome, and Barcelona is a work of art history derived from personal experience. Like what happens when you go into a lonely, sleepy church somewhere and find one dusty altar with a work of art that leads you to consider all that is around you and all that came before you. Quizzical Venice is for anyone who is going to Venice, has been to Venice, or has an interest in Venice.
From a newspaper advertisement for the book run in the Doge’s Daily Journal-Express:
Quizzical Venice has some things to ask you; 300 things to be exact. Like this: (see more...)
The KitKat Chronicles: Kit Maxwell, Curatore di Mondo presents four interrelated stories about an an independent-minded young Brooklyn girl traveling on vacation with her family to four European cities.
She first arrives in Venice at age 9 with her parents, cousins, and grandparents. Though she is the youngest in the crew, it is Kit who propels the family’s agenda. (see more...)
